about

"The Miner Lover" was written by Joe Corrie and published in 1926 in "The Image O God And Other Poems" by the Forward Printing and Publishing Company, Glasgow.
The words have been slightly adapted and a tune added in this version sung by Willie Hershaw.

The picture has been supplied by Ronnie Mackie. A friend of his discovered a rare copy of Joe Corrie’s short story collection “The Last Day”, also published by the Forward Printing and Publishing Company, Glasgow, 1928, in an abandoned shed.
